About

I like to express myself through animals, but there is always a human story in my pictures.

I try to balance heavier subjects with humour — it makes me feel better, at any rate.

It started for me at the age of three. Drawing. I was an early-rising little scamp, so to let my parents sleep, they put a pen and paper in my hands — and there I could sit for long stretches, drawing and fantasising. I got an early training: 10,000 hours of drawing.

Painting and drawing have followed me my whole life. After military service I thought about an artistic path and started at a preparatory art school, aiming for higher studies. After that year I got a job at a large global advertising agency, Ted Bates, and I was swallowed up by that world. I went to Berghs and continued with advertising, which I felt was just another art form. All the while, painting and drawing were right beside me, without my doing anything with them.

In 2018 I decided to invest in my innermost dream. I took part in several jury-assessed exhibitions, among them Liljevalchs Vårsalong 2021. That's the way it is — now I am going all-in on analogue creation, where I find so much energy and an outlet for my own thoughts. I hope you like what I do.
